FAQ's
How quickly will I notice results?
the smile salon’s 22% carbamide peroxide
often produces noticeable results after the first
tray wear. Teeth lighten substantially after 4-5
applications.
How long will my teeth stay white?
Many stains bleach out permanently and last for
months to years. However it may become stained again
due to smoking, red wine, tea, cola etc. But one or
two sessions with the smile salon’s bleaching
gel will give you back your beautiful white smile.

possible, it is best to avoid substances like
coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco.
If I am pregnant or nursing, should I use
this product?
There is no known hazard associated with whitening
teeth while pregnant or nursing. However, consult
your physician and your dentist if you have specific
concerns.
Is teeth whitening safe?
YES! Studies show from the Academy of General
Dentistry (AGD Impact, April 1998, p.23) “Several
studies, during the past five years, have proven
bleaching to be safe and effective”. A small
percentage of people may experience some tooth
sensitivity and gum irritation, which disappears
once you stop using the product or by decreasing the
amount of time you bleach your teeth. If sensitivity
occurs we recommend that you brush your teeth with
fluoride toothpaste this will eliminate any
sensitivity.
Can teeth whitening hurt my gums?
Overfilling of your tray may cause temporary
irritation. With proper use the Smile Salon’s gel will have no impact on your gums. In
fact, tooth whitening often improves gum health.
Will this product affect my crowns or
fillings?
The Smile Salon's gel will not affect
fillings, crowns or other tooth colored
restorations. Occasionally amalgam fillings may
leave a grey residue in your tray. This is only
surface stains from the filling.
How is The Smile Salon
different from other teeth whiteners?
The Smile Salon uses fast-acting 22% carbamide
peroxide in a stabilized pH balanced formula. Other
lower strength gels may not deliver results as
quickly or completely as The Smile Salon. Also,
there are no harmful acids or abrasives to damage
your teeth or gums. Products sold over-the-counter
in drugstores are under 6% hydrogen peroxide and
they will not effectively bleach your teeth. |
